Ellesmere Port Youth Event Brings Music, Creativity and Community to Civic Hall

Young people from across Ellesmere Port came together for a night of live music, creativity and community spirit at “An Evening For You(th)” — a new youth-focused event supported by the Mayor of Ellesmere Port.

Held at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall on Friday 13th February, the event was created to give young people something positive, welcoming and creative within the town, while showcasing emerging local talent and encouraging new connections through music and culture.

Organised with the message of being “for young people, with young people, and by young people”, the night featured live performances from a range of local artists and bands including Bliss, That’s Juvey, Joe Massey, Oranjson and [RYDR].

The event was free to attend for young people aged 14–17 and aimed to create an inclusive atmosphere with no pressure, no cliques and no barriers to getting involved.

Alongside the live music, the evening highlighted the growing appetite for more youth-led cultural events in Ellesmere Port and the importance of creating spaces where young people feel welcomed, represented and able to express themselves creatively.

For Ellesmere Port Collective, the event represented another important step in building opportunities for younger generations within the town and proving that independent community-led projects can have a real positive impact.

The collective has continued to work towards creating accessible cultural spaces and events that bring people together, support local talent and give young people opportunities to engage with music and creativity in meaningful ways.

Supported by the Mayor of Ellesmere Port, the event also demonstrated the value of collaboration between community organisations, local artists and public partners in helping to create positive experiences for young people.

Following the success of the evening, Ellesmere Port Collective hopes to continue developing future youth-focused projects and creative opportunities across the town.
